I live in Surrey having moved down south from Derbyshire for love. We met at a university in Spain while on our year abroad. We have been together for 11 years. My Spanish is terrible.

I earned myself the name 'Disco Jane' at a previous job due to the regularity of my solo kitchen discos during the pandemic (inspired by the iconic Sophie Ellis-Bextor). I now often get disco themed gifts at birthdays and Christmas and long may it continue.

My toxic trait is buying cheap wooden furniture off Facebook Marketplace thinking I can do it up and have it in situ within 24 hours. This never happens.

I now understand why the adults used to bang on about gardening all the time. Turns out it is really calming and I love it. Plants die on me all the time but I am nothing if not determined/wildly naïve.

I try not to take life or myself too seriously, but I am excellently behaved and incredibly professional, especially around tricky in-laws.
