I craft a bespoke script that lets your personalities shine through.
You can pick and choose which traditions you would like to make or break.
Want your dog to be by your side during your vows? Want your love story told in your granny’s back garden? Fancy singing a cheesy love song along with your guests mid-ceremony? I can do all of this and more.
I like to describe being an independent celebrant as like being a 'rogue vicar'. Basically, we can include anything you like, perform anywhere you like, include anyone and anything you like.
It can seem daunting but fear not! I guide you through the whole process - from ceremony ideas to vow writing to calming nerves and chatting to your granny on the day itself.
By the time the big day comes around, we will have met a few times, either in the pub, perhaps gone for a hike or squeezed in chats after work with a glass of wine on Zoom. You will have told me all about your story and I will have undoubtedly overshared so you’ll know me pretty well too.
Essentially, I’ll be a friendly face and cheerleader for you both on the day, guiding you through your unique ceremony that will be brimming with personality and love.

I will be at the venue on the day at least an hour before the ceremony and, unlike registrars, I only commit to one wedding a day so if you planned on an outdoor ceremony at 3pm but it's raining 'til 4pm, no worries, we can do the ceremony when the rain stops.
A WhatsApp group. Don’t hate me! I find it is really helpful for couples so you can ping across those tiny, wake up in the middle of the night script edits and questions that you may have.
I can help you write your vows/promises making sure they are similar in tone. Or I can write them for you, ensuring they fit you as a couple perfectly.

The biggie - how much does this cost?

My fee is £695.
I take a £200 deposit to secure your wedding date and the rest can be paid in instalments to suit you.
There are usually around 3-5 script drafts until you are happy. (There might be more, might be less. As long as it takes for you to feel happy with the script. It's your day after all!)
You will receive the final edit a month before your ceremony which is when your final deposit is paid.
I travel for free within a 25 mile radius and then have a per mile charge. I bloody LOVE an adventure! So a road trip, boat trip, plane trip is no problem.
Accommodation, if needed, is not included but if you are hoping to keep costs low I have family and friends' sofas/spare rooms dotted about the country and I am not averse to a camping trip either!
